Here's your chance to: * be seen on TV, wearing your favorite Linux t-shirt! * support KTEH, Channel 54, a great community asset! * promote SVLUG and Linux! So far, seven people have indicated they will be there. That's great, and I thank all of them for volunteering, but we need at least seven more. If you can help out, please do so. Being a phone bank volunteer is easy, all you have to is answer the phones and fill out a simple form. Our shift runs from 6pm on Saturday to about 11:45pm. (I'll be there at the beginning and at the end, but unfortunately I have a conflict during the middle part of the evening.) Following is some information from KTEH for phone volunteers: > Thank you for participating as KTEH phone volunteer. Please arrive > promptly, but no earlier than your assigned time. When the entire group > has arrived, a KTEH staff member will conduct a brief training session > before the first on-air phone break. Phone volunteers are generally in > the studio answering phones for about 20 minutes every half hour or so. > In between these phone breaks you will have time to relax and enjoy > snacks in the volunteer room. A tour of the station can also be arranged > just let your Associate Producer know you are interested. > > To look your best on television, avoid wearing white or very light > colors, and black or dark navy blue. Solid colors and subdued prints or > patterns look best. Colored tees, emblazed with your group's logo, can > also be worn and are encouraged. Otherwise, clothing appropriate for > daytime or office is best. DIRECTIONS TO KTEH-TV KTEH is at 1585 Schallenberger Road, in northern San Jose, on the opposite side of 880 from the San Jose Fry's.
